Strong features in Idesco EPC

EPC Reader

Long range detection always seems to require choosing between expensive active (battery-powered tags) and passive (unpowered tags) technology.  Obviously, passive solutions tend to be less-expensive.  However, assuming all active readers will provide you a longer reliable detection range is a common mistake.  Idesco EPC readers don’t merely provide a more cost effective and dynamic alternative to active readers – they also boast identification distances up to 15 meters, and in some cases beyond.  Furthermore, since passive tags don’t require short-lived batteries and are less vulnerable to inclement weather, they’re much less expensive and remarkably long-lived (decades).

Therefore, with an Idesco passive EPC reader you can create a less-expensive, reliable and truly long-distance (up to 10-15 meters) identification system with a long life span and long identification distances.  Additionally, our rugged (IP67) EPC readers boast advanced features such as flexibly adjustable reading areas, auxiliary antenna for bidirectional monitoring and plug-n-play wireless deployment to dispense with expensive cabling.

(In coming months we’ll introduce an exciting new EPC reader.  Watch future issues for more!)
