Idesco releases new access control reader Cardea
The new access control reader from Idesco

Cardea protects what matters most

Thank you to everyone who attended the Cardea reader launch events at the Finnsec exhibition.

Jari Valtonen opened the event and presented Cardea. He described how Cardea – with its ease of use, versatility, security and durability – responds to today’s needs. These include, for example, simplified warehouse management, preparing for security threats, secure supply chain, and environmental aspects.

At both launch events, Katja Ahola from the National Emergency Supply Agency, spoke engagingly about the current security situation and reminded us how important it is to protect critical infrastructure from physical security threats. Ahola pointed out that also companies, not only households should be prepared for crises.

For example, companies should check that their locking and access control systems are up to date.

Cardea, the new access control reader, creates security and clarity to access control. One reader, with its many features and latest encryptions, is suitable to any system, operating environment and security requirement, now and in the future.

Cardea reads access rights in cards or mobile phones and is built to endure indoors or outdoors. Also Cardea reader with connector withstands moisture and dust with a high IP67 protection rating. Cardea tolerates harsh treatment, making it suitable for all environments. It is vandal-proof, rated IK-09 and even IK-10 for impact resistance. The replaceable keypad extends the reader’s lifespan.

In Roman mythology, Cardea is the goddess of doors and doorsteps, the protector of the house. Cardea protects what matters most – people and property  –  and secures your business.
