New Cardea installation and update videos now available

The new Cardea reader is secure and adapts to different environments. You can easily modify the reader to match various system needs. Updates are simple, and system integrators can do them themselves, for example with the Mobile Coder app or centrally via OSDPv2 File Transfer.

You can adjust many reader features yourself and tailor it to meet different system requirements. Here are some examples of features you can update:

Updates related to security:
  • How the reader communicates with the phone app, for example, whether phone’s own security locking is required for opening the door.
  • Software updates.
  • Updates related to reader configuration (settings).
  • Alive message – how the reader reports its status to the system (in Wiegand readers).
Updates that help Cardea adapt to different systems and extend the reader’s lifetime:
  • Software updates.
  • Updates related to reader configuration (settings).
  • Data length for reading (in Wiegand readers).
Features related to usability of the reader:
  • Keyboard backlight operation; colour and on/off times.
  • Buzzer operation mode and volume.
  • Bluetooth range – how far the reader can communicate with a phone.
  • Re-read delay – when the reader can read a tag again.
  • Reader name in mobile app.
