The hallmarks of Idesco 8 CD 2.0 readers are security, efficiency and adaptability. DESFire is currently one of the world’s most secure access control technology, providing 128-bit AES and Native TDES encryption. 8 CD 2.0 readers also support random UIDs, for additional security to card UIDs.

Already configurable to either MIFARE® Classic UID or sector-coded Classic transponders, 8 CD 2.0 also supports DESFire transponder’s application files – and even all of these technologies simultaneously. Deploying it to read your old MIFARE® transponders alongside new DESFire transponders allows a truly convenient path to your future DESFire migration. When you’re ready, merely update your reader with a configuration card – no uninstallation necessary!

If you’re an integrator, flexible updatability gives you unparalleled control over your system today as well as freedom in expanding and developing it in the future. The flexible updatability of 8 CD 2.0 can also streamline your product management. Now a single reader stored in your stock can accommodate (and be instantly reconfigured to) different technology deployments – responding to whatever your customers’ current needs are. If you want to shield your resources from programming readers and transponders, Idesco Security Key Management service can supply programmed readers and transponders direct to your site, in addition to managing your security keys.
