Mikko Pinola has been part of Idesco’s team for nearly two years. An electrical engineer Mikko, together with his colleagues, design, functionally test and assess the circuitry that goes into Idesco readers.
Mikko’s daily activity includes circuitry design for Idesco readers and testing them via simulation. He also assists with a range of engineering documentation and advising in product development. Not surprisingly, Mikko is also an integral element of Idesco’s customer support team, regularly called upon to help customers solve their problems. Lastly, he’s a vital liaison with our software engineers, fabricating different adapters to test software and training them on electronics.
Mikko admits he was always keen to electronics design, even describing it as his calling. He has never tired of it because, while it demands constant learning, it also always brings another opportunity to create something new – keeping his work interesting. “…it is really nice to see how a circuit you designed is working and integrated into our RFID readers, Mikko explains.
Mikko and his wife have four children, the eldest, 12 and the youngest, seven months. Free time Mikko gives to playing badminton or fishing, for which he pilots his own riverboat. At least once a year, Mikko trailers his boat and heads to Tornionjoki river for a weekend of salmon fishing.
