Market’s widest temperature range
05.12.2017

Identification systems often get deployed in demanding environments with constantly changing temperatures. Most of Idesco’s RFID readers operate from -40 °C to +55 °C – the widest range found on the market.
Manufacturers typically display product temperature ranges in their technical specifications. The operational ranges of Idesco readers have been certified by rigorous testing because they are designed and manufactured in the EU explicitly to withstand the harsh conditions found here.
A major reason Idesco readers withstand wide temperature extremes is because IP67 protection means a reader is essentially impervious to all environmental moisture. No moisture means no frost or ice expansion and fracturing. Indeed, outdoor Idesco readers are so durable you can install them outside without needing to purchase any extra, protecting or accessory cover. Their electronics are fully encased within an impenetrable hard epoxy that thoroughly insulates them from all moisture – not just ice.
Conversely, hot environments can often be found in industrial sites or outdoor installations hit with direct sunlight.
