8 CL 2.0 secures Wiegand data
21.06.2016

An important security feature has just been added to 8 CL 2.0 LEGIC® reader. You can now protect data sent by the reader over Wiegand interfaces with truly robust 128-bit AES encryption. Normally, a reader will decrypt transponders’ data before forwarding it over Wiegand interfaces to the host. The 8 CL 2.0 permits your transponder data to remain encrypted the entire distance from your tag to your Wiegand-connected host (controller, etc.)
Best of all, this 8 CL 2.0 extends the same encryption protections to RS232, USB and USB Hi interfaces!
