Juho: one of R & D’s newest recruits

Juho Kalermo is one of the newest reinforcements added to our product development team. Currently, Juho works on Idesco’s latest reader software, designing test procedures our software engineers need to guarantee software is functioning flawlessly. Initially a teacher by training, he re-educated in software testing and changed careers. He believes he made a good choice. “In such a dynamic business as ours, you’re constantly challenged to deepen your knowledge and apply it new ways. The technology constantly manifests new things to adjust to.”

Nevertheless, the jump into this new discipline was rather effortless in the end. Juho notes warmly he received lots of support at the beginning from fellow team members. “I felt they saw that a new guy couldn’t instantly know everything when I started. And yet, my expertise continues growing, they are trusting me and letting me apply my knowledge”, he says. “The collective spirit of this workplace is great; you always feel safe asking for help, knowing you will get it.”

As a new father, Juho devotes most of his free time with his family but has also recently begun taking more time again for sports like jogging and padel.
