We are preparing to launch a new small, long range access control reader, EPC 2.0 Compact, able to read out to 4 meters (depending on environmental factors).
Hospital personnel frequently transiting access points with patients daily provide an excellent example of how EPC 2.0 Compact’s “Hands-free” authentication of tagged employee badges (worn over clothing) can improve efficiency. Users no longer must stop at a reader to transact with it (EPC 2.0 Compact is also an anti-collision reader, able to seamlessly transact numerous transponders simultaneously).
With its IP67 rating, you will be able to confidently deploy EPC 2.0 Compact outside. It will support encrypted EPC Gen2 v2 transponders, is update-able either via configuration card or RS-232.
