Privacy Policy for Idesco News subscribers
1. Introduction
Idesco Oy collects and processes certain personal data about you, when you subscribe to Idesco’s newsletter. This privacy policy provides you, a newsletter subscriber, information about how the Company handles your personal data, and reassures you that our processing of your data complies with the General Data Protection Regulation and other applicable personal data legislation. Lastly, this privacy policy outlines your rights in relation to us, and how you can exercise those rights.
2. Who is the controller?
Idesco Oy controls any, and all processing (collection/extraction, analysis, archiving) of your personal data that is performed by, or on behalf of Idesco.

3. TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA that are processed
Idesco processes the following personal data about newsletter subscribers.
- E-mail address
- Name
- Company / Organisation
- Phone number
- IP address
- Country
- Other information you have submitted or submit in different forms we provide in our newsletters and / or on our website, e.g. interests.
- Information that it gathered by you reading or clicking our newsletters, downloading brochures or other materials from our website
- History of your visits to our website as collected by cookies (Active Campaign, Google Analytics) or social media sites. Remember that disabling cookies in your browser will let you stay anonymous.
4. What does the company use your data for?
We use your personal data to improve the information that we share with you. We want this information – about our products, services, and general tips on RFID technology – to be relevant to you, and to help keep your sales engineer informed about your specific interests and needs.
5. Is your data shared with third parties?
We never share any of your personal data with third parties. External service providers we contract (e.g. website service providers) may store and process your personal data in their service to us. However, their access and use of your personal data is exclusively limited to those services they provide us. In the event we migrate from such a vendor to a new one, your personal data will be removed from the old one and moved to the new one. If all or parts of the Idesco Oy’s operations are ever sold, your personal data may be transferred to Idesco’s buyer. Beyond these exceptions, Idesco Oy takes all reasonable legal, technical, and organisational measures to ensure your personal data are handled securely, confidentially and with satisfactory protection.
Idesco can also provide your personal data to public authorities if we are is obliged to do so by law.
6. Where do we store and process your data?
Your personal data are only stored and processed in the EU. Our service provider Active Campaign has committed to following GDPR.
7. For HOW LONG will we store your personal data, and who can access them?
If you decide to unsubscribe from Idesco News subscriber list, you may do so whenever you want. Personal data of unsubscribed persons are removed immediately from our active register.
Idesco Oy stores your personal data for as long as you wish to remain an Idesco newsletter subscriber, or only as much as needed and for as long as necessary to administer a specific assignment for which the data were collected (e.g., industry survey, do-not-send lists, etc.).
Your personal data are stored in the following location, available only to Idesco marketing and sales personnel.
- Subscriber register of our newsletter service, Active Campaign. Active Campaign is committed to GDPR. The service is protected by personal passwords and accessible by named persons in Idesco’s sales and marketing, possible external service providers when they conduct services ordered by us, Active Campaign support personnel when serving us.
If you want to unsubscribe from our newsletter list, you can do so any time. Unsubscribed list members will be removed from the database regularly.
We can save your personal data for a longer period if it is necessary to meet a legal obligation that needs to be processed by applicable law, or in order for the Company to be able to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. Your rights
You have certain statutory rights that you are free to exercise in relation to Idesco Oy. A summary of these rights follows below. For complete information about your rights, please see the General Data Protection Regulation, Chapters 3–5.
Right to access/extract from register.You have the right to get complete, comprehensive answers to your questions about any storing or processing Idesco Oy does of your personal or visit history data. If we store or process such data, you have the right to see and review what personal data about you that we store, what historical data were extracted from your site visits, the intended purposes for all our processes, the identities and locations of third party vendors handling your data for us, and for how long any, and all, of your data gets stored.
Right to data portability. You have the right to request and receive a copy of the personal data you have provided Idesco Oy, in a structured, commonly-used and machine-readable format. You also have the right to request Idesco Oy transfer any, or all, of your data to another controller. Your right to the portability of your data applies to the entirety of your personal data, including any from automated processing, defined by your consent here, or another agreement you make with a social media site that shares its data with us.
Correction of inaccurate data. You also have the right to request that Idesco Oy correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information about you.
Erasure of certain data. You have the right to require Idesco to erase your personal data under certain circumstances, e.g. if your personal data are no longer needed for the purpose that we collected it, or your preference to return to anonymity.
Right to object to Idesco Oy’s processing of your personal data. You have the right under certain circumstances to object to Idesco Oy’s processing of your personal data.
Right to restriction of processing your personal data. You have the right to request a restriction of Idesco Oy’s processing of your personal data in certain cases. For example, if you contest the accuracy of your personal data, you may request a restriction of its processing during the interim while Idesco verifies its accuracy.
Complaints. If you have a complaint about Idesco Oy’s processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge such a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Authority.
